Care & Cleaning
CAUTION: Before attempting to clean the fixture, disconnect the power to the fixture by turning the breaker off or removing the fuse from the fuse box.
-
Clean with a soft, dry cloth.
-
Do not use cleaners with chemicals, solvents, or harsh abrasives.
-
Do not use liquid cleaner on the LEDs, LED driver, or wiring.
Troubleshooting
WARNING: Before doing any work on the fixture, disconnect power to the light fixture. Minor problems often can be fixed without the help of an electrician.
Problem
Possible Cause
Corrective Action
The fixture will not light.
The power is off.
There is a bad connection.
There is a bad connection.
There is a defective switch.
Ensure the power supply is on.
Ensure the circuit breaker is in the on position.
Check to ensure proper wire connections are made. Contact a qualified electrician.
Contact a qualified electrician.
The fuse blows or the circuit breaker trips when the light is turned on.
The wires are crossed or the power wire is grounding out.
Ensure the power supply is on.
Lights with Dimmers
The light fixture flickers or makes a buzzing sound.
The dimmer circuit is not compatible with the product.
The dimming circuit is set outside the dimming range of the product.
Check the product page at www.ETiSSL.com for a list of compatible dimmers.
Turn or slide the dimmer switch to adjust the light output until the flickering or buzzing stops.
Lights with Motion Sensors
The lights flash on and off.
The light reflected from the wall onto the photocell hampers the operation.
Reposition the light heads away from the wall. If the fixture is mounted with the photocell sensor in the down position, the angle between the light head and the wall should be larger than 45° for best performance.
Light does not come on at night when Motion detected.
- No power is being delivered to the fixture.
- Another light source cause the security light to think it is daylight.
- Wiring inside electrical box is loose.
- Check that circuit breaker and/or wall switch power is on.
- Turn off surrounding lights and/or re-aim the sensor head.
- After turning power off to the fixture, reconnect any loose wiring.
Security light comes on during the day.
- Dusk-to-Dawn sensor is a shaded area and is fooled into thinking it is nighttime.
- Dusk-to-Dawn sensor is faulty.
- Shine a flashlight onto the light sensor. If
the security light turns off then the fixture is mounted in an area that does not allow enough light to enter the sensor. Relocate security light. - If under warranty, contact Customer Service.
Security light cycles ON and OFF continuously.
- Dusk-to-Dawn sensor is sensing reflected light from the security light.
- Change the position of the light head, aim light away from the reflecting surfaces.
- Put a small piece of black electrical tape over the Dusk-to-dawn sensor.
- Relocate the security light to a different location where it no longer causes reflected light.
Security light comes on for no apparent reason at night.
- Light is sensing motion in the detection zone.
- Make sure the sensor is not picking up moving objects such as bushes, trees, traffic, water, etc.
- Test the motion sensor by covering up the front curved lens with cardboard to block the view. If the light turns off then something in the detection zone is triggering the sensor. Reposition the motion sensor or change the sensitivity (distance) of the sensor.

LED Tubes
The power single end tubes will not light.
The LED tubes are installed incorrectly.
Install LED tubes with the end labeled “power this end” to the wired sockets.
Speakers
The Bluetooth speaker will not pair with a smart device (continued).
- The smart device did not automatically connect to the Bluetooth speaker.
Interference is causing confusion with the connection.
- Confirm the device’s “Discoverable” mode is turned on to allow the fixture and smart device to recognize each other.
- Go to the pairing list on the device and manually connect the device to the fixture.
- Power both the device and the fixture off and back on.
- Power off other devices the fixture has previously been connected to.
- Delete the fixture from the smart device and rediscover it.
- Move away from Wi-Fi routers or computers that could be causing interference.
There is no sound or poor sound quality from the speaker.
The Bluetooth feature is turned off on the smart device.
The Bluetooth device is too far away from the fixture.
Interference is causing confusion with the connection.
- Ensure the Bluetooth function is turned on within the device settings. A Bluetooth symbol should be visible somewhere on the device screen.
- Charge up the device being paired with the fixture. Smart power management may have turned off the Bluetooth function when low on power.
Move the device closer to the fixture.
- Power both the device and the fixture off and back on.
- Re-pair the device and the fixture. When successfully paired, the speaker will emit a brief series of tones to indicate that your device is connected.
- Power off other Bluetooth devices within a 33 ft. proximity range. Only one device can be connected to the fixture at a time.
