ETi SSL Inc. Appoints David Rubin as President of Americas

Cleveland, OH, — February 19, 2013 – ETi Solid State Lighting Inc., an emerging leader in the LED lighting industry, announced David Rubin has been appointed President for the Americas. Rubin brings years of progressive leadership experience with companies specializing in LED lamps and luminaires, as well as discrete LED components serving both the commercial and consumer markets.

In joining ETi Solid State Lighting Inc., Rubin joins the management ranks within Elec-Tech International Co., Ltd. (ETi), a publicly traded company in China. With intensive capital investments and the gathering of top experts in the world, ETi has been devoting itself to developing core technologies and strategies in the LED industry. Through a focus on technological innovation, vertical integration, scale and cost, ETi has established an infrastructure able to deliver a competitive edge in the global market.

Before coming onboard at ETi Solid State Lighting, Rubin previously served as Director of Sales for North America at Luminus Devices. In his role, he managed sales for direct distribution customers in the markets of general lighting, entertainment lighting, displays & signage, and ultra-violet (UV) applications.

Prior to Luminus, Rubin served as the President for the Americas division of Everlight Electronics. He has also held the position of Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, at Brinkman Corporation where he led the consumer and commercial portable LED lighting business. Prior to Brinkman, Rubin served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Lighting Science Group where he marketed some of the world’s first LED lamps and fixtures.

Rubin holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, and an executive M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is an active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society and is on The LED Show Board of Advisors.
